  2. i read somewhere that a cluster of rubs indicates the center of a bucks range and when they are rubbed in a line that is indicating the boarded of his home range, like said above i usually always see these clusters of rubs right next to a food source.

  3. I don't hunt westchester because I only use an xbow. But I'm confused because I always thought westchester 3S just had 1 season 10/1-12/31 and they get 1 buck tag and 1 either sex tag, so 2 bucks as long as they stay in westchester.

  4. grey light let my bow down about to climb down the tree making a bunch of noise I hear the leaves rustle look to my right buck is coming in hot lights up a scrape hangs around for a few minutes and leaves couldn't make out the rack but I only have 2 bucks on cam over 1.5 years old so I'm thinking it was one of the 8s, do 1.5 have the instinct to scrape the ground or are they still trying to figure out what the hell is going on inside there body's?

  5. headed in this morning put a drag out and a little estrous in a fresh scrape and sat maybe 60 yards from it see a set of legs but couldn't see anything else head out and there's a new scrape 20 yards from my car which means he snuck 10 yards behind me without making a peep cuz there's only one route in and out and I was 200 yards from my car, moved my climber this morning and sitting in my new set this afternoon

  6. . Just been a very frustrating morning, no offense taken... I'm thinking if I go back after dark with a flash light maybe if she is down it will reflect off her eye and make here easier to find

that doesn't sound like a bad idea might need a spotlight tho, I'm no expert tracker but I think a second set of eyes allowing you to cover more ground will turn up a dead deer

  7. . If you read my post about the misses both shots deflected off of branches which have since been trimmed.... The shot this morning that wounded the doe was not poor aim but poor choice of aim point she was very close to my tree and a should have aimed just under her... I didn't realize how close she was till I got down

I'm only busting balls no need to be on the defense we all miss one time or another

  8. your arrow weights approx. 279 grains @ 30" with a 100 grain head your at 379 grains, you need to go get some new arrows and be around 500 grains minimum for shooting an animal that large, FPS has nothing to do with the penetration and KE you will get out of a heavy arrow.  At your current setup your arrow will likely bounce off a bison.  Go on Archery talk and do some research regarding arrow weight and big game animals.

when I got out of the stand yesterday I decided to do a little speed scouting found they abandoned the active scrapes on the oak and found 3 fresh ones about 75 yards away from my stand went a little deeper in on the boarder of neighboring property and found this beauty dead head main frame 8 with double drop tines, seems to be a coyote kill cuz the teeth are not worn out like I'd expect from a deer that would have died of old age
