a couple of years ago maybe three, someone shot with a bow what they thought was a coyote on the edge of  tallman state park - just south of nyack about 3-4 miles - somebody's husky off leash being walked.

it was 2009 and it was blauvelt state park.  if i new how to post the link i would...man was illegally hunting and said he "shot at two deer with the bow and accidentally hit the siberian husky"

Thats how i do euros. Scrape all the meat off and fur and then blast the skull with my pressure washer. Takes about 20 minutes tops and comes out just as good if not better

    so you don't boil?

  4. i use field and stream with a 1000g of insulation.

I bought them in binghamton at the original dicks about 6 years ago - on sale for 49.99 - and they have been great  I wear regular black ankle socks under them and they are very warm.

Pretty sure peroxide is suggested versus bleach. Bleach will brittle the bone.

  7. i also treat all my clothes with sawyers - stuff is the greatest.   i wear rubber boots for the last couple of years and hunt mostly 3r and 3m and haven't had too many.  i have pulled 3 out of my scalp and never dawned on me to treat my hats.  i will now!

I did a drive in 3m yesterday and went thru some really thick stuff - my buddy was fortunate enough to shoot a 4 point -but i only had 2 ticks thanks to sawyers.  normally i would be absolutey covered.

Also only ticks i have pulled off of me have been dog ticks. not deer ticks

  9. there is a 500 acre spot out in pine island also that I have seen deer in in the past. just can't think of the name of it. pochuck state forest!

  10. 10/11/2017 rained a little bit and he completely snuck up on me.  i was in a ground blind and he was less than 10 yds when i finally heard him.  truthfully the 1st arrow buried into a 2 inch tree where he was walking across. He was going left to right and i was turning to my right - for me a difficult shot.  he did maybe a 3yd circle and just stood and only gave me a neck shot as he was covered by trees.
