  1. Not to say any of you are wrong because I'm sure what you use works.  But I shoot 295 grain power belts and they shoot great out of my 160 dollar mL.  I also only use two pellets of powder!!!  I'm right on at 50 and 100 yards.

  2. Mature does???  I'm lucky to even see a doe.  I have seen plenty of bucks though.  I don't know what the reason for this is.  It does make it tough to take a doe but I feel that they are there just hidding possibly?  I hunt in 8g and the property I hunt is small!!!

  3. I'm going to sit down in my stand and wait for the deer to be pushed to me.  I maybe put out some kind of deer scent and make sure I'm as scent free as possible.  When the deer get pushed to me I want them to feel as safe as possible after already getting spooked.  The weather looks pretty good.  Hopefully it will stay that way cause if the pushers don't come through the deer should still be moving!!!!

  4. My buddy is coming up Friday afternoon and we will be bowhunting that evening.  Come back to my appt. and my dad will be meeting us Sat. morning at my uncles for opening morning.  Sunday will just be me and maybe another buddy.  Then will be back out there for a few days around thanksgiving when I got break from school.  I'm pretty jealous of you guys who got camps though.  It sound pretty fun to go up and have a big dinner with all your buddys and play some cards before hitting the woods the next day.  Good Luck to all!!!!!!

  5. I own a traditions.  When I'm target shooting I run a patch through it after every shot.  Its possible your building up to much powder.  I can only shoot about 3 maybe 4 shots without running a patch through it before I will be shooting about 6 in. from my normal groups.

  6. I have had the same issue as you and many of my friends, buck sign seems to be pretty scarce this year. We found a few rubs, but not as many as previous years. There does seem to be more scrapes then rubs. Fortunately i've seen more bucks then many other years bowhunting thus far.

Same here.  I think there might be one tree rub on the property I hunt.  Maybe two.  The only ground scrapes I've seen are my mock ones LOL!!!  I have seen more bucks this year then ever before.  Two of them are wall hangers also.

  7. Well I ended up going to Bass Pro.  There was a few things wrong.  One was that my peep sight wasn't tied in correctly so it was moving everytime I shot.  Also my broadheads were junk.  Honestly (most of you probably know this) don't go to walmart.  Anyways they hooked me up with some broad heads that they said wouldn't fly different then my field tips.  I went out to the range sighted it back in and then shot the broadheads.  They shoot perfectly.  They are sidewinders by trophy ridge.  Again thanks for all the help!!

  8. The only thing I will pass up is a fawn.  I would love to do some sort of QDM on the property I hunt but it is to small and the deer don't stay there.  If I owned a few hundred acres it would be a different story because I could put in food plots and not have to worry as much about deer wondering of to other hunters.  If you want to pass up on small bucks that is fine.  In my honest opinion though you should be prepared to eat a tag.  Big bucks are not gauranteed!!!  Good luck though and I hope your patience pays off!!!!

  9. I find it hard to believe that all of these huge bucks are being taken this year.  I know there is a game farm in Homer. :-\    I don't want to try and tell someone there buck is fake or isn't a trophy because it was taken on a game far.  If these all are true GREAT JOB and it must be a record setting year for NY?

  10. My comment was more towards the people who are just pissed because they can't shoot a buck!!!  I don't know what could be done about a situation where dmp's arn't sold.  Maybe a one buck per peron or one doe per person in those areas.  Again I really don't know.  I really feel like a few years of research would have to be put in to make something like this happen!!!

  11. Thanks guys.  I think I'm going to go home actually to Bass Pro.  This way when I go to sight it back in I can bring my muzzleloader to and just may sure its still on.  I sighted it in previously but that was a couple months ago and would like to make sure nothing got knocked.  But thank you very much for all of these places.  They maybe very helpful in the future!!!!1
