Actually Biz, 9/15 would probably work better because the bucks wouldn't quite be in transition mode yet, and they would still be working summer patterns, which are way easier to decipher than early rut patterns. Then again, they'd have velvety racks and relatively skinny necks which don't mount well.

9/15 is when we start in NH but was unusually warm this year till end of Sept we were in high 70's to 80's

Oct still in 60's - 70's until yesterday we dropped to the 50's but back into 70's end of the week

  2. Good Luck this year everyone. I know season has started So Congrats to toughs who have been successful thus far

  3. Monday is my last day of the year for work two weeks vacation to use up since we didn't hunt NY this year took a doe during NH bow season & a buck during NH rifle so I will be doing a Venison roast, Venison meatballs with venison meat sauce with Pasta & a ham. I am not sure what else my wife & daughters are working on the rest while I take care of the main dishes. I really wanted to smoke the roast but last year I had a hard time maintaining the temp so it will be crock potted have 3 more roasts one of them will get smoked

  4. Well Tomorrow starts New Hampshire's gun season & I am taking the rest of the week off starting tomorrow. I finally have some time to hunt Just want to wish you all good luck in your gun seasons & be safe out there!

God guys, Savage? Ruger? Ugh I just puked. Freakin garbage. Look at em. Savage are rust buckets n Ruger is cast parts , bad triggers on lots of guns. Man I gotta blunderbuss the op could borrow. Shoots rocks but it's about like a ruger accuracy wise. Op do yourself a favor n get a decent piece. Cheaper in the long run

I have & own many Rugers & have had virtually zero issues with any of them. If you do you will not beat Rugers Customer Service. Your fault or Rugers fault Ruger will usually not charge you. One of my favorite in my arsanal My .308 Ruger American predator. can't go wrong for the price

  6. I have the Excell I bought mine new a few years ago for just about $400 new

They do not make the Excell anymore due to Remington shutting down H&R  but I have not had a problem at all with mine & would guess I have at least 500 rounds through mine

I'm a newbie here but I love this forum!

A Chevy, Ford, & Dodge owner have all commented, and not one guy bashing the other!

Love it, had to say it!

good luck with what you decide to do with your vehicle, like said before the prices are out of control.

I will say this I was a mechanic for over 10 years They are all great one day & pieces of crap the next. They have all had good years & bad. Some people have great luck with a certain brands & models while others have the worst with the same
