It's only going to get worse down there. There are a very small amount of agricultural crops in the area so deer are going elsewhere. I hunted with 2 other guys last season and we had 2200 acres to ourselves. Good luck.

Well DEC lowered the number of permits for the 2015 season from what they were in 2014. Looks like every other year or even every 2 years for getting a permit. There just aren't the deer there use to be down there.

Let me know what leases you have available if any

It's unfortunate that they are letting that area be developed. It use to be the location of the youth pheasant hunts. BIG $$ and lobbyist will kill our hunting lands. I wish it was mandatory for these companies to be told if they take that acreage and what it could potentially yield in game that they would have to invest twice that much in an existing area so that it could be upgraded and sustain wildlife.

I have been hunting 9P area for 34 years now. The deer population has gone down dramatically over the years but last year it seemed that the numbers were up in the area I normally hunt. I can remember when the trees were just saplings and now they are full grown trees, damn am I getting old. Anyways I picked up a 9P tag, and 3 others in our group got a 9P as well. Hopefully we can fill the freezer with some good meat and have a great time hunting. Good luck to everyone.

I am looking for land to lease in the following counties........... Monroe, Wayne, Livingston, Wayne , Ontario or Genesee Counties. Hunt a lot of ducks, geese, deer and turkey. I have 4-6 guys that are willing to go in a lease or even buy land if the landowner is willing to hold the mortgage. The acreage will determine how many guys will be allowed to hunt the particular property but I think the lowest we would like to go is around 30 acres to start with and work our way up. The lease would be mainly for deer and turkey but if it's a good waterfowl spot then we would be interested as well. If anyone knows of anything available, and no it doesn't have to be for this season, just putting the feelers out there. Thanks in advance for the help.
