Thanks for the good info and ideas...was just a little down on all the snow. Getting a good Ariens blower tomorrow to tool around the yard with so hopefully that will take a load off. I agree- gotta go far to be happier than right here!

A lot of the states mentioned are real prone to tornadoes...don't want to live there. Maybe Va or NC or SC

Cabin fever!!! What place would you retire to get away from snow south of Jersey? Looking to deer hunt, clay target shoot, pay low taxes, low cost of living, and no tornadoes. I know ... only in Heaven!!! I'm thinking Delaware , What ya think??? Anybody from Delaware?

Grouse were in Dutchess? Can't remember the last time I saw a grouse around here.

I am definitely not a dog trainer...but we've had labs for many years. Don't know if it's the recommended way to do it or not. But when our pups would want to jump up on people, I found the easiest way to break that in a hurry was to step on their rear foot when they jumped up. That ended that in a day or two. Can't stand it when they jump up on people.

Probably a minimum of $1500.00. I just sold a 90% one, 4" Blue for about $1500. The 6" probably worth a bit more than the 4".
They are without a doubt the best of the wheel guns, and are definitely bringing a premium nowadays.

Used to hunt out of tree stands or pine tree stands- no more. I make blinds out of natural blow downs, and they work great.

That's a no-hunt property there. I live close to there and know guys that have or do work there. If they allow any hunting, it would only be workers.
The place used to have tons of deer-no more.

Nice Buck!!! You put the time in, good for you!

I've had Brian from "Wildlife Creations" in Millbrook( Dutchess County) do heads for me.
Great guy to deal with. I too like that he is a Vet.

Howdy everyone.
New member from Dutchess County. I like to hunt deer with shotgun, bow and muzzleloader. I have been hunting for around 40years.
I also enjoy clay target shooting.
Happy to be on board with a bunch of like minded folks who enjoy our sport and heritage.
Good huntin' to everyone!
