  1. Shot this guy on this past Saturday in southern Arizona. Temps in the high 80's - 90's. Made it a long week in the desert. Ah, December in the Catskills sounds inviting. 2nd pic is of our visitors on an unsecured border. jim
  2. Wholesale pricing on a quality fixture should be in the $40 - $70 range. Also , wattage at each fixture should be 10.8 - 11.3 . If not done correctly , you will have uneven lighting
  3. hey , I am a landscape contractor in Az. Do lots of LV lighting. No need for conduit for LV wire , would be a waste of dollars. Important things - get a quality fixture ,ie: FX Luminaire , Focus Industries , Nightscaping , Kichler ; You need to know how many watts you can run on the distance of wire run , you can increase wattage on a wire run by bumping up to 10 -2 from 12-2 wire , also , new transformers today give you a way to bump up the volotage with different ' pegs' inside the transformer . Malibu sets are not so great other than pricing . Hope that helps . PM me if you want more info Jim
  4. Welcome, I haven't been to Sherbourne(sp?) since the late 60's when we used to do band competitions, marching and concert. Do they still do that? Jim
  5. Attached are pix of Grandpa in 1948 with the 8 pointer , I think the car is a 36 Plymouth , also Grandpa with a spike and not sure of the car and the other photo is of the cabin with deer hanging on the front porch , I am told that photo was the late 20's. Although I cant be certain. Deer and cabin in Sullivan Co. Pix with car were taken in Orange Co. at our orchard. Grandpa%20and%20deer%201948.pdf
  6. Gentlemen and Ladies, Raised in the Orange Co. , hunted the Catskills ( have a cabin and some property there , grandfather bought the original acreage with a few others in 1916) until I moved to Arizona 28 years ago. I hunt only whitetail , N.Y and the Coues in Arizona. Very different hunting in the desert , glassing is the method out here. If I can figure out how to post photos , I will add some Arizona bucks as well as some photos of Catskill deer from the 40's . Gotta chuckle at the 'postings from the stands'. Way to much technology for me. I am in the woods/desert for the solitude , no phones , no 2 way radios. As an older guy , I enjoy the quiet (excepting the rifle fire). I only rifle hunt , I do think of taking up bow , need to free up time for it and time has been in short supply. We have a couple of good websites for hunting out here. I connected with another Orange County guy who hunts Arizona as well on the 'CouesWhitetail' site. Small world. Jim
