  1. I am looking for a cheap or low price wood cook stove for our camp dont want 1 that we have to do too much work on cast iron is a pain lol we would love 1 with resavour (opps) and warming shelf and we are willing to clean 1 up cash or trade anyone can you help us
  2. Sorry folks Im against it! behind my farm is a public hunting area and ALOT of folks shoot anything they see and if they arent happy with it they leave it which cuts down on the deer I have a chanse at .I hunt for food because we try to live off the land and i want a deer or 2 a year and if the bucks are on the town woods side of our block by the time they drive them to our side you might have no choice of bucks i do shoot for body size and I hate to shoot does here because if they get hit hard we will have no deer at all so all hunters on our side of the block leave the does alone so we all can have deer every yr if my property was somewhere else I might change my mind where I live public hunting really affects us

HELLO FELLOW SPORTSMEN I just found this site from a card at the NE sportsman show and have glanced around the site and am inpressed hopefully we can all help each other and even make new friends here a quick bio of me . Im a small farmer in Sherburne ny 10 miles from the exact center of ny I raise Angus beef ,pork ,have 3 gardens and try to live off the land i used to be the biggest breeder of true indian Appaloosa horses this side of the Mississippi rvr but because of alot of reasons failed in this endevor . now with my son AJ we are trying new things to make HONEST money from the farm we do 150 maple taps, cider, fruit we have just started an orchard and were lucky to hook up with the Amish with our trees so we have found the cheapest trees in ny trees that have apples at 2 yrs old contact us we will share the wealth of what we know if we dont know something we will tell ya . we are avid bear and deer hunters here in Chenango county and Warren county and may I add sucessful too lol if we can help anyone contact us and if you want to know more about us just ask
  4. Geno Well Ill try to answer your ? for you . Ive had the best luck in warren county if you can get access try the Craine Mountain area in Thurman NY by Warrensburg NE Adirondacks I know quite a few DEC personel and they have said there is more bear per sq mile than any other place in ny my biggest to date is 7ft 3in and i have seen 1 (no joke) at least a third bigger here I see on avg 2 bears a day hunting and could easily take a bear a yr if I wasnt so dang picky + if its to far back in I have to figure if I want to carry it outby which I mean hide, head, hams loins etc,I only leave a gut pile and rib cage when Im alone if i have buddys and we want the bear 1 pc ( this is the easy way) after gutting and draining a bear legs will only come back toward its body cavity sofar so you flip bear onto its belly and bring legs the legs up square 1 buddy per cornor GRUNT and pick up and carry it out like a coffen avoid dragging if possible hair damage ,etc + every hair does seem to catch on dust even lol Well Good Luck Geno hope this helps
