  1. wanted to also add that I am willing to go to eastern PA as well
  2. I disagree. It takes me just over 4 1/2 hrs to get to Syracuse. Im sure there are some good hunting clubs looking for good people within this range. Any of you out there let me know. Thank you
  3. Definitely interested. Please send me private message with details. Or i can PM you. Thank you!
  4. No. I used to hunt with my uncles upstate but the 5 1/2 hr drive was a little too much. And more than that I grew tired of being the referee to my uncles bickering, lol. As far as references are concerned not sure who i can offer. But I'm a father of 1 that's been hunting since I was 16. And there aren't many more people that are more environmentally conscious and respectfully of the land than I am.
  5. I've hunted Sterling Forest before. Nice place and I wouldn't mind hunting it again. But ultimately my goal is to find private land! Either by getting permission or lease if I have to.
  6. they release birds every week during the season. But it doesn't matter because there are so many idiots hunting there. I truly mean it. I once had someone shoot towards the road (Hello!) and hit the side of my truck. Chased that SOB but never caught him/her. To get on there in the woods I guess its ok but don think of going on the weekend.
  7. Nice buck. I've hunted Otis but unfortunately never successful. Not crazy about the whole check in there. And way too many people. And lots of people who shouldn't be hunting (when it comes to small game).
  8. I used to hunt deer on LI but no more. Too many ticks! I like the feel and aura of hunting upstate!
  9. I live in Suffolk County (Long Island). Looking to hunt deer anywhere upstate (less than 5 hr drive)
  10. Hey I live in Northport as well! Don't need Brookhaven. I shoot in my backyard.
  11. Yeah don't go! Unfortunately lots of good public land but way too many idiots that can't hunt and shoot at anything that moves. Take a lesson to all of you that do that. It's simple: " Don't shoot until you see blue (the sky)"!
  12. If you feel like heading to Long Island let me know. There is a GREAT private club there that I go to. All open fields and everything done online!
  13. Looking for a deer hunting spot this year. Anyone looking for an experienced and safe hunting partner let me know. I've used my rifle/shotgun but would like to get back into using the bow. I also do quite a bit of pheasant/quail hunting with my dog. Willing to help out with land if need be. talk soon, Carm
  14. I would definitely be interested in teaming up for some deer hunting with bow or gun. It makes hunting more fun and safer! I'm also do quite a bit of wingshooting since I have a pointer
