Been hunting all week , very little movement! Been long week .

What is everyone seeing in the 7M area? What are thought about this season

Anyone now how this years upcoming long island shotgun season will be set up, do you still dob the mailing for lottery #. Someone told me they changed the setup

Yes. I hunt in Lincklaen. This year was bad!! we saw alot during bow season then they seem to vanish when gun season came, bow season was a little cooler then gun. I had great photos on cams of a few bucks, but no one in camp saw any of them. I guess lets hope for better season in 2012!!

How was the Deer season for everyone in 7m? At my camp the year was not that good this year. The weather was way to warm and saw very little Deer movement. I hope the season went better for everyone else.

i feel the season overall was a bust. the weather at the start was horrible, no deer movement and a hell of alot less deer than past years. 7m and 3s

I hunt up in that area, there is so much state own land that you could have access to that have great number of deer on them. Hunting the state owned land up there is nothing like lower in the state, I hunted on my property and the state land for opening week of gun season and didn't see any other hunter besides the guys from my camp. For bow season the woods are empty.

I have to agree, i have hunting in 7m Lincklean/pitcher area since '95 and have never seen it as slow as this year. The weather was cooler during the second week of bow then the first 2 weeks of gun and deer movement seems to just fade away. I have three trail cams out and had numerous bucks, ranging from spikes to nice 8pts that seem to just vanish once the warm weather started. When the weather was cooler i had 390 photos in a 2 week span, with the warmer weather maybe 2 or 3 every couple of days. Open week of gun was the slowest that i have ever seen. I hope it was better for others. the pre season scouting lloked great and i had good hopes but the weather just killed it!!

The days over, had to call it a day at 3:00 (work). No movement seen all day, seems to be a cruddy year with regards to weather for hunting. Sat all day and on the way out i kicked up 2 does bedded about 50 yards from the truck :/ .Hopefully you guys are having better luck! I guess better luck next time

Been out in Yorktown, 2 stands seems to be no movement. There is a nice breeze it may have them held up.

Been in the stand in Westchester since 6:15 and have seen no movement so far, I hope it starts to pick up

Anyone out there have any info if the deer are moving in westchester county with the warm weather and how bad are the ticks, Will be headed out tuesday for some bowhunting.

Does anyone out there know of a good butcher that does deer in the Queens, Long Island Area. Seem be having some problems with the guy who i have used for the last few years.

Just got back from a week up in 7m, The deer are moving oddly around midday mostly. it seems that the apples did very good this year, every were you go there are mass number of apples that are getting hit pretty hard by the deer. Saw mostly Does and a few Little bucks but, seems the chase has not started yet. Mid week scrapes started to show up on the edges of the thick cover. The snow that we had got during the week didn't seem to change the movement. The trail cams had alot of movement during the night hours. The upcoming weeks i think will be Pretty Good.

Anyone have any thing about deer movement in 7m, is the weather hold deer movement back. Heading up on sunday

This 6pt buck was taken by my brother on 11/24/10 he was chasing 2 does. The 9 pt was taken opening day by a friend his first deer and his first ever trip in the woods hunting.

went out to hither hills for my hunt with my buddies yesterday. we had a group of 8 guys and did not have any luck, out of 8 guys only 1 saw 3 doe and could not get any shot. The weather was not very good its was very very windy which i am sure played a role in deer movement. when we went back to the check station after the hunt the deer that we saw that others had scored were very small (35lbs ). WELL GOOD LUCK TO EVERY FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!!
