Two Coyote Take Down A Trophy Buck On Trail Cam Photos
DaveB replied to Rattler's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
"I have no problem helping people in a time of need and have always been one to help, but We have reached a point that there is a growing number in our society that just simply refuse to help themselves and just want everything handed to them for free." This is so true, and then all they do is whine when the hand outs are taken away. Dave -
Squirrel hunted yesterday.....

chas0218, Moms never are happy when the little ones come home with as much as a small scratch, just tell her it builds character and your trying to teach him to hasten his reflexes, that may help, or you just may have to duck. -
We were planning as 12 yrs old being the minimum age, parents would be required to be present and permission slips would be required to be signed as well. Thanks Joe for your response. We aren't planning to certify them for anything, just to get youth exposed to shooting sports (rimfires only at this point) under supervised exposure. We think and hope that if more youth have the opportunity to learn in a relaxed atmosphere and not start off with a firearm that may leave them sore etc. that they may enjoy it and continue to shoot, hunt, etc. A lot of kids don't have parents that hunt and have no inclination to go to a club to expose the kids to them, I was like that, my Dad didn't hunt and although he would have taken me to a club if I had wanted him to, I never asked, luckily I had a neighbor who hunted and asked me if I wanted to go and squirrel hunt, that was about 45 years ago, and I have been doing it ever since, I am sure there are more like me out there.

I am on my 4th outback, not because I had any problems with them just because I kept trading for newer model, current one is a 2014 and sticking with this one just because I am getting older and not wanting car payments forever. It is my wifes car and she wouldn't have anything but the outback, absolutely loves it and I do too, the resale/tradein is always extremely good, safety as you mention is top rated, you won't be sorry. I am a member of a gun club in New York and we are thinking about having an informational and instruction youth event to get them acquainted with the shooting sports. My question is do you need to be a certified instructor to do something like this or can anyone in the club give general instruction on different shooting techniques, styles, safe firearm handling and some basic target shooting. etc

Here is a pic of a closed reed distress predator call. I moved to the Southern Tier just over a year ago and got my workshop built this year and am still in the process of getting things back up and going. This is one is curly maple.

Hello everyone Also a newbie here and look forward to creating new friends and learning from all of you. I have been hunting for many years and recently move back to the area where I grew up. I love archery and rifle hunting for deer and also coyote hunting and I also make coyote and turkey calls. I took a doe so far this season with my bow on 10/5, haven't seen another deer since. Thanks DaveB

Hello all, I have seen a big decline in deer population on property that I hunt and the landowner says there is no shortage of coyotes. Very few trail cam pics of deer where there used to be loads of them. I won't hesitiate to shoot a coyote even if it meant spooking a deer. Actually going out and hunting coyotes is a blast, they won't pass up a meal and are unbelievably cagey animals and can bust you in a heart beat.

Hello everyone Also a newbie here and look forward to creating new friends and learning from all of you. I have been hunting for many years and recently move back to the area where I grew up. I love archery and rifle hunting for deer and also coyote hunting and I also make coyote and turkey calls. I have seen very little Rut activity to date with the exception of some rubs starting to be worked lately. The area I hunt has taken a very steep decline in population recently, possibly from coyotes. Dave
