If ar's showed up, how many bad long shots will be taken at large deer potentially wounding them..how many super ultra aggressive pushes will be taking place , along with more line crossers, and most likely a bow season push starting..think these wont happen? Im assuming with a new ar in place more land owners will put the so to speak "foot" down and state land will fill up quite quickly with "homeless"hunters..

Its not natural to manage..hense natural selection..if we could clone big bucks ..everyone would be smilin

Of course..as far as the topic..im going to keep posting thru feb.. got predator hunting to look forward to, few and far between, but hoping to post some pics of the fun

I am a deer hunter...if it is a slick head..its in danger..if its a large buck..its in danger..and in the last few weeks of the season..every brown furry creature is in danger..i measure my success by #s divided by time..as long as im spending time out there and comin up with deer to eat i(and the boss) are happy..i had the pleasure of the landowner member of my family after somthing like a 16yr absense from the woods parttake in this years goings on..in the start of the year he was certain he was going to tag out..and had the audacity to say "should be easy, deer are everywhere"..and only after the finale weekend did he realize hunting is not as simple as he had percieved and now is dealing with the smell of skunk.just goes to show you it aint as easy as it looks, and ar's would make it even harder for some to be what i call "successful"..in my head a good system would be a pay as you go..bang out 10 deer..then yer buyin that many tags..pass every deer this season, well then thanks for playin..better luck next yr..id rather pay bike tax than see ar in nys

My gun, my stand, my bullet, my land..all i want is a good shot..you dont like what im takin..dont look at all..you want to support an idea that controls everyones judgement says you cant stand that..mature 4 pts fill the freezer better than a mature doe..and also pollute the gene pool..you should thank me for taking deer like that out of the herd..sit there for 2-3 yrs waiting for a trophy you enjoy with yer eyes..my trophies are enjoyed by me and the families tummy being full..antlers are bonus..just my opinion

Our town just had words exchanged over the voulenteer fire co....people find anything to complain about..i can pay taxes on it, but if theres a benifit to be had from it then everyone throws in 2 cents about it..and if im not mistaken only a few out of thousands upon thousands of sites have ever gone "bad"..

Our town "missed out" on windmills..apparently its better to shoot yerself in the foot..i also agree with any fuel supply here at home

If it were me owning property that was a prospect to frack..id be all for it, money wise and gas allowance..even get shirts made.."whats yer hydro fracken problem"..

I did the same thing, switched guns, and missed again...i admit im not a gun guy, but that was rediculous

Enforcement? What enforcement? What do they have, like 4 guys to cover all of 9h...and im sure the same goes for the rest of the state..

I would think it would be more advantageous to just throw in 2yrs of antlerless only..take out the gap between hunter and judgement all together....people will see the result of passing for 2yrs on a basket buck..
