  1. I have  20' Wahoo That I fish in and around Moriches mostly (I live 2 blocks from the bay). I keep her on a trailer and follow the fish around the Island. Fluke in Southold in May; stripers in Moriches Inlet at night in June; sea bass outside in July; fluke, sea bass, stripers in Montauk in August; fluke, stripers, sea bass, bonito in Moriches in September, tog around Plum and Fishers in October (if I'm not in a tree)
We should plan a g2g and kill some fish!!

Still learning the inlet. Would like to g2g, have some fun and maybe learn a trick or 2. The Sheriff Brody in me thinks "we need a bigger boat" to hit some of the spots you hit.

  2. Prayers sent Moog. Praying for a complete and speedy recovery for your wife and household. I have 2 friends who recently started chemo and another who's been on for a while. Your post made me realize the additional risks they face on top of what they are dealing with already.

  3. I use both. Advantage of hang on is you can climb crooked trees and tree with limbs. In early season, I like to use the hang on and maximize cover from branches, etc.typically only set up 12 feet or so high. Once leaves are off the trees, I switch to the climber and climb higher typically 16-20'.

  4. X2 what Moog said. I had assumed the human scent around the gut pile would make deer shy, and/or that deer would instinctively avoid gut piles (areas that would attract predators), but that does not seem to be the case.
