my brain hurts. Isnt that similar to what Oj was saying at trial. I huh duh um dont fit boss.i aint got no gloves huh my hans to big fo glovs.

  2. once the downpour quits. im going in. It only takes me 13 minutes to get to me spot. so no rush. think ill do some slow roll down the sewer line and head for the pines. going to watch the back of a winter wheat field tonight.Go get em turkey feathers. i havent seen a deer where im going since bow season. lots of tracks lots of acorns so feed is very abundant. waiting for some snow to maybe change my chances. again i saw nothing last night . I thought something was coming across the swamp but it turned out to be ducks and not bucks. oh well it was exciting.

  3. i was thinking that something was wrong with your bow to miss deer like that. I also upgraded to the bolt xr. Not really a low light scope. I usually will go over my bow every couple days during the season. Due to all the shots it takes to hunt with it. Targeting and unloading. I did do something to make it more stable in the stand. I use a lone wolf climber and it has a hole in the platform to set the compound in so that it stands up straight in front of you.I filled this in with some heavy canvas material and zip tied it to the platform. Now i can put my shooting stick on the platform and rest my bow on it so i can be at the ready. It really helps with movement since these bows  are crazy for movement. i got busted with moving the bow a couple times. the stick really helps.

  4. use locktite on the screws and replace the scope. I have the Barnett ghost 360. it actually shoots at 350. with the arrows that came with it. I would have to say its a pretty nice crossbow for the money. I will leave any religious comments out of my answer, since jesus doesn't hunt.

this has been very reliable for me i have used it for two seasons and am thrilled with it. and i got a pretty sweet deal. Its not a $1000 dollar bow but it gets the job done very nicely.

  5. On the hill for the last time this year there is no late muzzleloader season up here and the rifle season ends tomorrow. I can't believe the hunters up here today I was a little later than I wanted to be because of work and I had to go to my third option to get somewhere where there were no cars. Usually there are maybe 2 cars in the area on your normal Saturday today there are 8 cars, if I wasn't already late I'd leave the area entirely. Talk about your last minute shoppers. Good luck everyone.

Stay short all those hunters will push the deer to the roads .circle back around them, sneaky deer. I've taken a couple bucks like that on state land

  6. We use the jerky attachment for our LEM grinder, The foot pedal makes it so much easier. We even make chicken jerky for our dogs. Instead of buying treats for them at the store. grind it chill it then just pump it through the  attachment it doesnt get any easier.

  7. with the fresh scrapes I saw this morning and going over deer kills last year and camera action from last month i would say its here. dont drive that you will just be rushing yourself thus increasing your percentages for an accident. Be safe be wise stay close to home, if you do see a doe their is the chance she could be hot and have a buck with her. increase your chances stay local, bucks may be wandering. Of course this weather will keep the does  on the slow roll. Its a crap shoot sometimes. I myself used to drive an hour to hunt and low and behold one year took a nice 8 point , hunting last forty minutes. two days later it worked again last day of muzzleloader , took a nice doe. Hope this helps in your confusion.

  8.  i took a walk out to the back of the property this morning. Looks like a deer highway, and i saw a few scrapes that have been freshened up a bit so it looks like its about to be back on. I hope the folks in the development behind me dont get to twisted if they see me up in a tree. Everybody has those big new development back  yards.Flat all the way to the creek I should be good by about forty to fifty yards.with all the nonsense on the news I am fully expecting someone to call the cops on me.

That piebald is just a shame. what an absolute waste.

  9. 41 degrees with a 7 mph wind. Hopefully something is walking at legal shooting time. hey where is book so i know for sure i dont shoot before sunrise. One minute can make or break a day. 5 seconds can change your hunt from a good day or a not so good day. good luck to everyone in the woods and to those that arnt. na na na na na na.

  10. This was actually on the news in buffalo the other day . I thought how ironic. So the story was about the yettie. They had some really old femur bone or something like that. There was quite a buzz they thought for sure it was a yettie bone. So sorry believers, it turns out it was from the Tibetan brown bear. Just another bit of proof that dragons genies and big foot are all fantasies. although ill just say that racoon that was sneaking up on me in the woods this morning had me spooked.

You are correct, you can only load 150 grains by volume of BH in the ultimate (that is from BH).

I got sick of the cleaning a long time ago, that's why I went with building smokeless.  Now I shoot H4198 powder and size my bullets for the barrel without the use of sabots.  It is extremely accurate, with much less headaches.

I tried the hornady FPB  without sabot. had really bad luck with them. I still have a few i could still try them with some different charges.

I don't believe the new Remington muzzloader is safe for 200gr of BH209 as its designed for pellets, may I ask where that was found ? Perhaps I'm wrong.

Let's all just be safe as the late season ML is approaching.

Yeah thats not right. I weigh out 80 grains thats just under 120 by volume ( 120 grains Volume BH209 2050 fps (84 grains weight)

I get just about the same velocities with a 250 grain barns and 80 grains gets me 2125 fps.

The gun is a bunch of hype in my eyes. but i do like the bolt action and the way it uses brass for primers. Nifty storage for primers where you would loud your semi auto rifles just in front of the trigger .

9 pounds i dont think so.
