We have a small group of 6 guys in need of a place to rent during hunting season. We have land to hunt, but the house we were leasing during hunting season has been sold and we are in need of some where to stay. We hunt the Avoca area and would like something in that area or within a 30 minute drive. We could most likely get a couple hotel rooms, but really do not want that huge expense. We are mostly in need of a place the opening week of gun, but would consider renting it on the weekends until the end of the season if possible and if the price is reasonable. Would also be willing to work out something for future years if available. IF anyone has anything available or knows of anyone please let me know. My hunting partner and I have decided to sell our camp to buy a larger one. We have for sale our hunting camp. It's a cabin with Xlarge living room, Xlarge kitchen and Xlarge loft. We sleep 6 in the loft with room for at least 2-4 more in the living room. The cabin has all new board and batting siding, new windows, new front door, new roof and re-enforced footings. All work was completed in the spring of 2013. This is a dry cabin with 220 electrical service. Heat is supplied by a wood burning stove. Included is an electric stove for cooking and a fridge. We may be even leaving some of the furniture behind if the buyer would be interested. The cabin sits on 5 acres of land adjacent to 500 acres of NYC Public Land. Over the last 3 years we have taken a 6 pointer, 2 bear and numerous doe off of the adjacent DEP property. We have spotted 2 additional bear after harvesting the first 2. Hunting leases available on Monday 3/3

The list of available hunting leases (on woodlots owned by Cotton-Hanlon) will be posted Monday morning (March 3rd) at 7:30 AM. I'm putting the final touches on the list right now but here's a quick preview: We'll have leases available in the following counties: Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Oswego, Schuyler, Tioga, Tompkins. The is one woodlot that has a CABIN on it that is open for lease. The cabin will need to be purchased from the prior lessee and then you would sign a lease for the woodlot with C-H. This is a unique opportunity to get a great area to hunt and a move in condition hunting cabin. Can't tell you any more right now but if you are interested make sure to check out our website right at 7:30 AM because things go fast. How it works is the website will have a list that includes town, county, number of acres, cost, and an aerial photo, if something catches your eye shoot me an email and if you are the first one I'll email you maps of that lease and give you two weeks to go out there wander around and check it out.
