Check a stand I rarely use...it's an area I really wanted to have as a sanctuary ...swampy...and just a mass of 20 ft tall wild rose...bramble...wild grape...poison ivy and blow downs....but It's too dangerous to hunt in gun season because of trespassing...I went down to see if stand was still cabled to tree ...well the March storm we had ....cut off my entrance with a split apple tree so I went to the only other way in and that was blocked by rose ...poison ivy and bent over dogwood brush...4hours later and hands looking like a over used pin cushion I made it to the stand...The hunter next door(old guy) and I had talked about that area a few weeks ago and he said ya I see ppl in there every bow season...Figures...

The stand was good and I brought the hardware for platform with me so I sat in it a bit...Wow paths and beds marsh grass laying down and tracks everywhere...looks like I will be taking a hike to my stand this bow season...it's time to clear out that area of trespassers and get some use out of it my self...will use a light to get in on this one...found a few areas where it looked like good bear den possibilities....took me 2hrs getting out because I tried to use a different old path to check rest of area...eegads I have dozens of thorns imbedded in my fingers ....all red and sore...lol
