The following is a news release:

On September 29 and 30, 2012 the Conservation Alliance of New York, with co-sponsorship from the Onondaga County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs, the Oswego County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs and the Salmon River Strutters Chapter of the NWTF, held a youth pheasant hunt in Palermo, NY.

Nearly 40 junior hunters participated in the hunt. Sportsmen along with their dogs spent time introducing the junior hunters to pheasant hunting.

Youth pheasant hunts take place on the last full weekend prior to the start of the regular fall pheasant hunting season in each area of upstate New York.
