Loren Barrigar reeled in a 22 1/2 pound salmon on the Oswego River.

Well-known local musician, Loren Barrigar, of Elbridge, showed recently he can handle a fishing pole as well as a guitar.

In this photo, he hoists a 22½-pound chinook salmon he caught while fishing with his brother, Ken, also of Elbridge, on the Oswego River next to the power station below the dam.

They were fishing with Capt. Kevin Davis, of Catch the Drift Charters. The fish, which as released, was caught on a chartreuse and green plug, Barrigar said.
