In-season practice

How often do you practice your shooting during the bow season?

For me, I shot a bunch pre-season to dial in. As the season became closer, I would shoot only one or two arrows, one or two times times a day(figure the first shot is the one that counts in season). Since October 1st I probably only shot a handful of times just to make sure I didn't bang my sight walking in the woods.

As much as I can...its not bad for now but when the clocks roll back it gets more difficult because its dark when I get home. I like to shoot 15-20 arrows maybe 3-4 times per week during the season.. I like to have a small block target in the truck that i can set out where I park. I put it out about 15yds in the illumination of the headlights and take a few shots. It makes a big difference having those warm-up shots.

I try to shoot everyday during the season, but sometimes other obligations get in the way. I usually shoot a few before I head out to hunt also. I shoot all winter in my garage as well. Back when I was using a compound I could get away with taking the winter off, but with the recurve I shoot all year.

i shoot pretty much every day, you never know if you accidently bump your sight or rest,. it happened to my uncle this weekend, he went out and bumped his bow, lucky he didnt see anything cause when he came up, he shot and completly missed the target cause his rest broke.
