Warren
Does anyone have any knowledge or expeirence using the M1 Carbine on whitetails? I have an old WW2 carbine that shoots so nice and is spot on at 40 yards. I've taken deer with open sighted handguns in the past but the old eyes can't see the sights on the handguns as well as I can on the M1. On paper it has better ballistics than most modern handguns. Will it do the job out to 75 yards? How about on black bears?
ants
I have always heard that it's too light for deer but I would bet that if you got some good loads and kept shots at under 75 yards, it will work OK. I have shot them before and at 50 yards they are pretty accurate. Those original WWII carbines can bring a good dollar. Ever consider selling it and buying something with a scope that would work a little better?
