Anyone can have an excuse to not participate: it comes with the territory of letting others secure your benefits for you while asserting that "...and no one can take it away." BUT RIGHT NOW those "no one" folks are trying to do just that and making a difference that shall take those things that you do and love and rely upon away. Away!

Why not spend a little gas money and parking money, drive down to the State Capitol/Empire State Plaza, then

find the VISITOR PARKING lot underground, drive in with your photo ID in hand (the State Trooper will ask for it), find a place to park, take the nearest elevator to the C-Level (for Concourse), walk toward the State Capitol, pass through security -- no knives, guns, and the like so leave them in your car -- and turn LEFT into the area known as "The Well" of the Legislative Office Building (known as the LOB), and find your selves among hundreds and (may we hope) thousands of fellow gun owners for this NYSRPA-sponsored Lobby Day and Rally?

YOU do have the time for it if you value your Second Amendment rights -- and if you find yourself responding to that by answering "...but I don't own any of those guns or magazines!" then KNOW THIS, my innocent friend: you are suffering from deep denial. What is not named today will be named tomorrow if this attempt to take what some have away from them, they will soon leave you with nothing but your single shot .22 cal. rifle, and then soon enough take that as well. Creeping socialism is little different than sudden and complete exacting socialism such as Adolph Hitler exercized against the Jews of Germany when he was but Chancellor
