bkln
Hi Fellaz, as a NYorker do you guys have NJ out of state pistol permit? How hard/painful is to get them? I plan to hunt in NJ this year and an idea of not carrying is rather weird. Share your experience please. Thanks, Mark
shawnhu
The NJ pistol permit is only a few bums to apply, but I've heard it'll take 7+ months for background checks etc. you'll also need to go to a NJ approved finger printing location and the fee is 50-60$. And that's it.
bkln
Thanks Shawn, do you know where do suppose to go? State police or local municipality that is the closest to you?
Mr VJP
NJ residents can't get carry permits. They are always denied to average citizens, so I doubt they will issue a carry permit to any out of state resident that isn't a L.E.O.
shawnhu
Thanks Shawn, do you know where do suppose to go? State police or local municipality that is the closest to you? Sorry bkln, just saw this. The application is at any State Police office. They will send you info to get printed as well by a third party, total cost is something like $60-70 for the entire application plus prints. Unfortunately, I don't know the likelihood of approval, but it does take a long time for the process as they are flooded right now with apps.
