My brother-in-law and I have decided that we want to try our hand at bear hunting. Since we're in 7J/7H and there's no bear season here, we're thinking the early ML season is our best bet since neither of us bow hunt here anyway.

Does anyone have any input as to where I should start looking for areas to hunt? I'm not asking for your honey-hole, just point us in the right direction. This'll be the first time either of us has hunted any big game other than deer, so any tips would also be greatly appreciated.
