Deerthug
on my way back from Riverhead to sight in my Rem 710 30-06 which I dropped last year after shooting my largest buck to date. I replaced the stock and today was the first time I had the chance to shoot it since then. Well I was quite pleased with the results. At 50 yds. My shots are the larger holes. I put 6 shots in and was done. First two were up and to the right. Rather than making any adjustments I took another one.. The next one was about 2" just below bullseye. Again i didn't touch the scope. Waited couple of minutes and took the next three - dead center. Surprisingly I did not have to touch elevation or windage on my scope. I figured I just pulled the first 3. As I'm walking to take my target the guy shooting about 5 benches to my left shouted out: "Oh jeez were you shooting at that target?" I said "Um yeah!" He apologized and we got to talking afterwards. Nice guy. He was shooting a 10-22 which explains the small holes. I think I'm ready for opening day!
