N.Shore Herring, no bass

Took the kayak to the North Shore to look for stripers. I trolled for about 2 miles each way, taking a few casts along the way.. NO stripers.

 

I did see some fish slap the surface and put a herring rig down and caught Herring. I put the fish finder on and saw a number of herring, but not tons.. I got about a dozen then left.. I release them.

 

I'm done with the bass for the year. There are probably bass in Little Neck Bay, but I won't put up with the traffic anymore to fish there.
