Goose Hunt

Anyone field hunting for geese tomorrow have an open spot, i got 2 dozen or full bodies and a layout blind with a snow cover.  PM if anyone interested.  Im an avid waterfowler moved to LI 3 years ago from PA, looking to smash some honkers.   Thanks and good luck even if you don't have an opening.

Gosh! Saw this too late. Just want to know where on Long Island do you hunt geese? DEC public lands or private fields? Thanks

 goose are on private don't know any public fields were you can hunt geese

Hi, papabear, this is my first waterfowl season, I was able to get some ducks on DEC wetlands, but for geese.… no clue at all.

Do you have any good place to recommend? Seems for central long island, the season for geese still has three days to go.

I have had some success lately oin public land on the south shore. Mostly with groups of 5 or less. Bigger groups just want to go to fields. Layout blinds are a must. I would rather get into a lease and hunt a farm but as i am relatively new to LI i dont really know anyone with a lease. For now it will work.
