They make it look like there's more than one sun in the sky or that the sun has a halo around it. Lynda DeLallo and her son were out on Otisco Lake with snowshoes today and saw this sundog. "It was like a full rainbow around the sun. Very pretty,,' she said. A sundog is reflection of sunlight off the ice crystals in the clouds. DeLallo sent another photo of a huge partial ring in the sky north of the sun. xxx DeLallo photo "This was white with a few blips of more white but it wasn't around the sun," she said. " Is this considered a sundog too? They were both about the same time." I would say so. What do others think? Also, did anyone else happen to see this phenomenon today? Take a picture? Send your photos to me at [email protected] and I'll share them with readers. She said talked to an ice fisherman who told her the ice on the lake was 15 to 18 inches thick.
