Dan's hunting thread

So I have seen a few of these pop up the last few days, and have been thinking of making a thread. With the purchase of a new shotgun im hoping to be out a good amount this season for different species, depending on work  lol. 

 

I have plans to hunt deer, turkey and maybe a little yote hunting. I have always wanted to do duck or goose but I have no spots or anyone to "show me the ropes" on birds so for now im just studying up on that topic.

 

Since I am a few days late for this season i will start oct 1-4 in this post.

Worked until 5, but stopped in the woods on the way home to scout an old spot i haven't used in a while, pushed 2 does from a thicket.

Woke up at 4:30, heard rain hitting window, checked weather and it wasn't supposed to stop until around noon. Went back to sleep woke up again at 8ish walked to the back porch, it was worse then at 4:30. Went back to bed lol. Woke up at 11, slight drizzle but looking good to go out. I have already decided however that im going to do a PM scout. I will bring most of my gear with me but no plans on shooting anything unless its a monster. Tomorrow is my day lol
