Last time i was on the Nature Trail, which is a very short one, in 2013, the sign in the parking lot indicated no firearms allowed.

Things may have changed though.

I think I saw a sign about it being a wildlife refuge? and habitation restoration area.

Asking never hurts though.

At least open it for black powder and archery.

I live 3 Miles away from Goosepond Mt. State Park. Huge Bucks and Does are in there. I know as,I Hike the various Trails.  Alot of Wild Turkeys as well.

Now some of that State Lands is literally  off the Backyards of a number of Homes with ATV Trail leading to the Trails. Without a Dought some Bow Deer Hunters have probably  already  been successful  as it is October  8th.

I would absolutely  love to Rifle Deer Hunt at Goosepond- but that place is a Hikers dream and Hikers + Mountain Bikers carry considerable  clout as far as keeping certain areas off Limits to Hunters.
