Complete switch up

This years plans were a total fail. Not a bad thing just different..experimental I suppose. I have seed just not using it as planned. Just one spring planting ,thats doing well  but slow ,clovers. I have one part of a plot that reseeded it's self, way earlier then I would have. It's the turnips.. I will mow and disc in the winter wheat. To be part of strip planting the lower field. I usually plant feed corn but not this year..I diced that area..I'm waiting for good weed growth to disc again then I will seed with feed whole oats and clover later i'll do another section in plot spike and turnips..  if the oats grow well I'll do yet anther area in oats and turnips...I planted plot spike in the upper field behind the new hay and over seeded in clovers...these storms all night and today should start them out well. We'll see what mid summer plantings do..Then think of next years plans. I do not normally plant oats. I do need to get some WW for late Aug.  This is a good thing for the turkey..I Want a bigger area in them next year. The upper lane way will get plotspike and turnips. That needs a lot of clearing,a few more trees cut then a good fertilzing ,high nitrogen and seed dragged in. I disced lime in weeks ago..been picking rocks in every walk through. It never had vegitation, just moss on it,it will take afew years to get in real good shape..deer are hanging in there. Heavy right now. I had two skoot past me the other day..I continued past them and the one took a couple of jumps at me. I  kept my pace and  head down as I walked. it circled in behind me and snorted twice. Never ran, just saying you better keep going!....lol
