sssurfertim
North Fork Preserve. I used to work there when I was in highschool about 6 years ago, beautiful peice. I "guided" the tower shoots there with my uncle, I would retreive downed birds and help the shooters get around. The owner died and the siblings were fighting over it for almost ten years, I don't think there will be any hunting allowed on it if the county takes it over especially with all those camp sites they want to make. Saw a huge 8 and a equal sized 10 fighting in the middle of a feild in the middle of the day one time, amazing place. Saw a huge nontypical 13 pt taken from there once, the guys who have deer hunted there for years must be pissed about them loosing this amazing property. jonathon88
i just read the article. most of that property is what pheasant run sportsmsan club is on.the 150 acres off spinney rd. that piece is sold and will be suffolk parkland .they also mention the adjoining 450 acres are being appraised and will be sold as well to become parkland.i always knew pheasant run didnt have rights to be on most of that land.now we can all enjoy that land for hardly nothing.and not have to pay the ridiculous price of joining that club
