It was his first deer ever.

Matt Wallace, of Canastota, poses with an 8-point buck he shot opening day in Lincoln, N.Y.

He wrote: "This is my first deer ever! I tried to get one with a bow this year too but didn't have any luck.

" My luck changed the first half hour of gun season. I shot this guy at 40 yards at 7:30 this morning."
