Patrick Collins, 14, of Fayetteville, poses with his first wild turkey.

His father, Scott Collins, wrote: " It had an 8.5-inch beard and 1 1/4-inch spurs. It was shot with a 20-gauge shotgun at 35 yards in town of Fabius.

"Patrick is in 8th grade at Wellwood Middle School. He was very excited."
