  1. We shoot year round. During hunting season we take a break so the owner of the property can hunt. All winter the course is open, On a nice winter day its quite enjoyable to take a walk and shoot.
  2. To keep glasses from fogging up. Rub dish detergent on the lenses, do not wash off, Wipe with a clean paper towel and no more fogging.
  3. This morning I was setting up a Bow for a young man to start shooting ( 12 years old ) I didn't know his grandpa was a big farmer in the area. After a shooting lesson, Gramps and I were talking and he offered me full use of his farm ( 1200 acres ) I will be the only one Bowhunting there. He has corn (alot ) Nice mature trees in hedgerows about 30 ft wide. I walked it this afternoon. Saw rubs all over and spooked at least 30 Doe.Just picked up 2 new 21' ladder stands and found 4 really good spots. Tommorrow I will be setting them up. He plans on cutting corn mid October. I don't think it could be any better :D :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
  4. In Springwater NY we have a small Archery club. 14 targets 11yds to 62yds. There are no membership fees. Kids shoot FREE and adults are asked a donation of $2.00 a round. We have equipment for the kids to use and qualified adults to help them start out right. The targets are set up on 20 acres of trails. Our mission is to promote Archery and teach kids to enjoy the outdoors. We have had alot of kids and parents learn to enjoy shooting. Several of our youth have placed in the NYFAB State indoor meet in seneca falls. We welcome any Archer to come join us. The course is open Tuesday evening 5:00 till 7:00 and Saturday 10:00 till Noon. Here is a link and more info. The pics were taken at our annual Trophy Bow Shoot over the 4th of July weekend.http://townofspringwaterny.org/content/Generic/View/10
  5. Not any big bucks yet , alot of Deer. If the Does are here the Bucks will come
  6. Keep practicing with the Bow. It might be helpful to find someone to coach you. also get the bow tuned by a professoinal. A badly tuned Bow will never shoot straight. A good mentor could have you shooting in a very short time

From Springwater,NY I mostly hunt on my own property. I have a sweet stand , A box blind 21 feet up, It is right on major travel routes (3) Last year opening of Bow my 2 sons and I saw 23 Deer. Only 2 small Bucks. We only hunt with Bows. We are all Target archers and Hunters. We have 2 farms in the area we are allowed on, usually late Archery season. My sons are 17 and 18. The oldest is heading off to college and won't be here for early Archery. He hopes to be able to get home for a few weekends
