I wont't lie i would have shot it without a doubt.But I am still young to hunting maybe 10 years down the road i would let it walk for the right reasons,but right now hed be a goner!

I agree*Im pretty shure that anywere in the head you will drop a deer with one shot,witht the right gun!Hit a deer in the ear and it won't fall,I beg to differ that sucker will drop in its tracks.And a shot is a shot your killing the deer either way head shot is faster with out a doubt!!

Lol i mean it really doesn't matter your shooting and killing the deer reguardless.If you have the skill to take a headshot then take it its a for shure kill better than watching the deer flop around untill you finish it!!

I have a 30-06 for big game,,i was thing about getting a 243. just to hunt smaller game and whitetail with.But 243 is a great starter gun and with the right scope you might not ever need to go bigger{pending on what u hunt}
