    Finally got time to get traps boiled to remove the wax and then gotta dye them and I got a bottle of full metal jacket to try out this to year instead of waxing them all gonna go 50/50 and see how I like it and the results .... under 3 weeks away gents .. enjoy and I hope you all do great this year Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Reading my posts from last year today I was complaining about not seeing any deer so went to a different property and explored and found some real nice trails way back in the woods were the hardwoods and thick stuff clear for a while and there is a solid trail like a cow path in two different spots that intersect by were I hung my stand so I guess we will see tomorrow afternoon how it is there ... nothing like new spots !!!!     Buy log wood crystals best option... walnut hulls I used and used and squirrels and chipmunks would find my traps or dig them out ...

    And find spots on your property were every coyote and fox is gonna step like we're logs obstruct a path or somethin narrows it down ... I will drop a small sapling across a path bye my creek and they have to step over it and 90% use the same spot every time for the foot .. just get use to were the gather to step over and we're they are stepping over too ... blind set will catch the most and the wisest

    Make sure you know your dominant wind were your trails intersect so you can set were they will get the wind ... so many times I like the spot I pick but if they can't smell it they won't find it ...

    Some will be back but I'm sure you spooked some that won't ...but I'm sure with the apple trees they will be back soon.

    Winds gusting pretty hard but I'm hoping to get out on my back 30 bye 3 ... I don't like bow hunting in winds over 20 mph but it's opening day so time do get a doe until the 15th when buck is open in my areas

    Yea there will be days like that but shit happens you learn from it and move on ... with earth anchors you need no more than 12 inches most of cable .. I've never had a yote pull 12 inches out and they are easier to retrieve .. if you wanna go 1 step further buy the smallest quick links they got and hook traps on with them so if u can't dig out you just un clip and flag with pink ribbon and take trap till spring then dig out .. good luck
