  1. I believe the media is in on the whole scam and has been from the start. Trump knew they would publicize his rants for free from the beginning. All part of the plan to make sure we do not see a GOP President elected. Hillary could never win without such conniving.
  2. If Trump runs 3rd Party, that would prove he was put in there just like Ross Perot was. The idea being take as many votes from the GOP candidate as possible to insure the Dem can win with as little as 35% of the vote. Trump's never been a conservative, or really a Republican, doesn't honor the Constitution, the Rule of Law or the will of the people. He's an actor and a player and that's exactly what he's doing. That's also why the GOP wants him out of the race.
  3. The libs don't post new threads, but they can't seem to avoid childish replies to the threads posted.
  4. Libs aren't going to have kids or grand kids. They're aborting them. A self centered lifestyle doesn't allow for them. As far as FREE college, how much value did these young folks give to their FREE high school education? Anyone think they will really become better educated if higher education is free too?
  5. No you decided it was OK to attack a member rather than what he posted in post #86. I rested my case after it continued from there. I see no reason to elaborate further. Your wasting my time trying to start another confrontation and I'm sure you will feel compelled to get in the last word. You can have it.
  6. I would never ask for censorship. But I know since the political threads were moved out of the forums the MODS were getting PM'd by people who wanted that to happen. Go back and read my posts in this thread. I cannot state things I believe any plainer. I can only assume I'm getting snide replies because I have hit on the truth some people want to conceal.
  7. The answer is, you attacked me for my "hypercritical post". You would have been better to state you opinion about the issues stated in the post. You have an anger issue that blinds you.
  8. Buzz, Your opinion is noted, but incorrect. It was the start of censorship and demanded by a few.
  9. I hate incivility, but if I am attacked, I will defend myself.
  10. It was an analogy to compare the situation on this site to the larger mindset in the country. I really don't know how it could've been written any plainer for people to understand.
  11. I believe that should about cover the personal attacks and incivility that becomes the norm in most of the threads on this site. This thread was about censorship being requested. I stand by my original analysis of the problem. It's about childish desires for power and control, nothing more.
  12. BTW, the reason the political forums were relegated to 2nd class status is because some folks on here PM the mods and the owner to do it.
  13. Once again, people need to address the post, the opinions and the subject of the thread. The MOD has stated he is getting PM's from people asking for censorship. You really need to read the post again and pay close attention to the part about acting like an adult. I'm sorry I hit a nerve.
  14. There is a huge difference between censoring incivility and profanity, and censoring entire posts because they are personally intolerable. The people that create most of the incivility in the political threads are the ones who want them eliminated. There's a huge tantrum going on there with snide replies to posts and PM complaints to mods to kill that forum. Very much like children running to mommy when their sibling tells them to stay out of their room. Also very much like many American citizens demand things change to suit their desires by attacking freedom from every angle possible. It's a police state mentality that tries to accomplish goals by nagging authority to do something about it, freedom and liberty be damned. It's a "If I don't like it, I'll kick and scream until I get my way" social style. Personally, I believe you are free to act that way if you feel the need to. If authority actually capitulates because of it, they do not do their position any service. Everyone here needs to act like adults, post opinions but remain civil, contribute what they feel is of value, ignore what they do not think is valuable and stop crying like babies if things don't go their way. Asking the mods to censor anything other than incivility and profanity is simply facist. Lets not go down that path, as it doesn't serve anybody well.
  15. What part of what I posted are you claiming is misleading or untrue?
  16. Is it Greene that has Oneonta? The point is, most places that are now mostly paid, were once mostly volunteer. There is already talk in every county in NY to going to paid departments. Without enough volunteers, it's inevitable.
  17. There was a time when ALL FD and EMS was volunteer, and things were much less expensive and corrupt then. The demands of modern life killed most of it. Paid personnel get a good wage, lots of OT, paid vacations, full benefits, Life Insurance and a full pension after only 20 years on the job. They are also union, which comes with demands. Though they are as dedicated as any emergency service worker, many work for 20 years and get a pension at 70% of their ending (probably highest) pay for life, which can be 40 more years. Most earn more from their pensions they they did on the job. Do you really believe giving volunteers some pittance to encourage their service is expensive, compared to paying all of your emergency people?
  18. Some men make things happen, some allow things to happen and some ask, "What happened?" Most gun owners fall into the latter classification. A major negligence in their citizenship education IMHO.
  19. Sounds like the "View New Content" section is redundant since we already have the "Forums" section listing the latest topics posted to. That section doesn't show the political posts either. Sounds like we need to eliminate the "View New Content" option.
  20. That's because all real hunters like beer.
  21. The political posts are civil. The replies to them are often where the problems begin. As long as politics affects hunters and firearms, you have to expect there to be political posts. There isn't even concensus on this site as to what actually constitutes a political post. The concern was brought to the owner of the site and those posts were relegated to a 2nd class position. If that hasn't satisfied everyone, petition the owner again to take that inch of censorship and turn it into a mile. You may hate those posts, but when you cross the line and reply with hatred of the person who made that post, you are the one in the wrong.
  22. Everyone should be worried, or at least concerned.
  23. The problem I see on this site regards responses to posts. There is nothing wrong with a reply that attacks a position of a post. There is a lot wrong with a reply that personally attacks the person who made a post. Most of the bickering and fighting on here starts when someone chooses to post an insult, or ad hominem attack directed against a person, rather than the position they are taking. That will usually follow with a reply in kind and continue from there. Eliminate the initial incivility, the rude and unsociable posts that do not address the position, but the person, and you will eliminate most of the things you need to censor. Anyone can be a member here if they follow the rules. But nobody should be allowed to remain a member here if they cannot act like an adult and remain civil. This needs to be directed first at the person who starts the problem, by blatantly insulting another person personally. You cannot expect the insulted person to just lay down and take it. You should warn both parties, but the person who starts it should be handled the same as a person who throws a sucker punch at an unsuspecting person. Eliminate the childish antics and attacks from some of the members on here and you will have far less to worry about censoring. If I'm not mistaken, it's already one of the rules members need to follow to remain a member here.
