  1. Sitka optifade. Love there gear especially the perm aloft. So soft you almost want to go commando....
  2. Best morning ever. 8am 2 little spikes then around 830 a big bodied 4 with a group of 8 does, right after the does 3 nice 4s and a 6. Never seen this many bucks and for in a group.
  3. Good luck everyone and wish my wife luck, got her into bow hunting it's her first time out.
  4. Sat 6-2 didn't see a single deer. Saw a nice black yote about 200yds out. Maybe tomorrow I will see a deer. Think this wind isn't helping.
  5. Nothing like sitting on the ground with coyotes howling within 500yds of each other.
  6. This is one of them spots you can only get to if its dry. Basically one nasty swamp. As in sign no tracks at all and before I did and of this I had runs on top of each other. But as far as apples there are a few dropping but not many but my upper stand the apples at covering the ground.
  7. So last weekend I checked last years stand and the brush was shoulder high. So I took my bucket loader down and cleared most of it out surrounding the stand and apple trees. Before I did this there was a lot of sign in this spot now nothing. How long before you all think they will be back?
  8. Sounds like the dec officer we have in 7m.
  9. Just watched a buck mount a doe 50 yards away true giant of a deer but sadly neighbors property.
  10. Saw a nice buck this morning and drew back and when I released my bottom cam hit my stand and popped the string. Saw arrow go 10ft over and peep sight hit the buck in the eye. Deer better not hump truck it might fall apart damn fords!!!
  11. Got me some fritz's doe in estrouse, dumped it in new truck= fail!!!
  12. No recovery on the doe called my neighbor to help look since I had to work and they gave up about 30 minutes ago and never found anymore blood. And I hit her at 8am
  13. Shot a doe today and ended up just hitting below the heart? My question is would this spot be busted to hunt in the morning or this weekend? I hit her blood trail and be lined it fast out of the plot I was hunting and the first group of deer I jumped was 200-300 yards from that spot.
  14. Glad to here that it wont suffer and die that's my biggest worry. Now just hope this stand isn't done for tomorrow and the weekend.
  15. Ya I first thought it was a great shot beacause of the high kick but now I def think it was way low. Just shot a few arrows at the target and they are spot on for my stand and when I shot her I aimed low.
  16. Got a good hit I thought on a doe. Found the arrow and good blood. Arrow had no blood but white slime on it. Followed blood for 150 yards and it seemed to stop but the blood was heavy.
  17. Walked my property this morning and found a thicket with 4 heavy muddy trails heading to oak and apple trees. Some nice rubs are in the area also. My question is is it to late to set up in this spot for next weekend? All these trail come from a swamp, field, hemlock grove and neighbors right into the thicket and the 4 coming out are all parallel and within 50yd area.
  18. What do you mean? Like main bedding area?
  19. evercalm deer herd in a stick is a miracle, I swear. I tried antler ice and many others never had any reaction but the evercalm is worth every penny. Put some on a tree by my trail cam I had 2 button bucks lick it, 4 doe sniff and lick it. For the fun of it I hung a few rags in my parents front lawn off a 50 acre field and sure enough they actually bed in the lawn now. Not the smartest thing to do cause in the a.m. when I get there to go hunting they just watch me walk to my stand
  20. Best video I have seen in a long time, really puts things into perspective. http://vimeo.com/93316112
  21. I got fined 2 years ago for "BAITING" i was hunting turkey in a corn field that was just freshley spread with manure and ENCON said it was bait.
  22. Some of these newer bows can hold a tight group at 50 yards, yes tuning is everything. You and your bow need to be tuned. With my setup i have 1 pin for 10,20,30 the second is for 40,50. It is ethical if you and your equipment are tuned for it. Me personaly wouldnt take it.
  23. What i ment is in our area (i live 1/2 mile up the road from dave) a few people have spotted a droptine. Thought i saw it a few months ago on a field we all call Sage's. And i was wondering if he has seen it at all?
  24. Joe sure doe's feed them pretty good, go get him Dave. Anyone see that droptine over the hill?
  25. Also dont for get all of the watershed down towards walton that is open.
