Wow what a exciting weekend. So happy we finally took a buck off the property. We have a bunch on the Cam's saw a few during bow season as well. I also saw another buck on Sunday, only for about 2 seconds, he was moving fast nose down. Nice size rack from 125 or so yards out, hopefully will see him next time I get into the woods. Anyways, more on the story. My brother said does came out at about 75 yards from him, and he was getting ready to pick a doe to take and then the 8 pointer steep out and was chasing the does. The second the buck stopped moving he took the shot, he took out part of the heart and lungs, it only ran about 75 or 100 yards away. There was no blood trail at all. Can't wait to see what he looks like mounted.

Actually its pretty interesting, almost as much as the study I did from my desk. This part is interesting The increase in movement rates in November, Andy said, was equal for all time periods of the day. While the three bucks did move more at night in November than they did in October and December, they were also moving more at dawn, dusk and the middle of the day. Even in November, the daily movement peaks were still at dawn and dusk. and this One tip Andy offered for November hunters: You’re not wasting your time if you stay in the stand all day long. While morning and evening movements were always greater than mid-day, movement throughout daylight hours was double to quadruple the levels of pre-rut movement. I always assumed it was the case though.

This is something they should be real proud of... Healthcare.gov, the site to be used by people in 36 states to get insurance as part of the Affordable Care Act, has cost the U.S. Government $634+ million. Not only is this more than Facebook spent during its first 6 years in operation, it is also over $500 million above what the original estimate was: $93.7 million. Why, in a country with some of the best web development companies in the world, has this website, which is poor quality at best, cost so much?

Yeah still suck at keeping this updated. Heading up tomorrow for rifle opener and can't wait. Besides a missed shot during archery on a beauty everything else was out of range.

I forgot I also love these single tree wood stands too, not much can go wrong with them. This is the last tree tree I built, it blew over in the storm 2 years ago.

I think I'll build a blind on top, and do what you guys did and build it then take it apart to bring up. Not 100% sure what I want to do yet. It would be nice to have a stand to go to when its real crap weather though!
