  1. I don't plan on leaving it cocked for days. I just wanted to know if it's safe to leave it cocked for hours while on the stand. AFAIK In the past year NY has allowed the use of crossbows during firearm season. The DEC has proposed the use of crossbows during archery season, but the whining and moaning from bowhunters will likely prevent that change from happening. Texas, among other states, is working on making suppressor hunting legal. Well, regarding the use of hunting crossbows during ML season, your wildlife regulators are likely just behind the times. MLs are no longer primitive weapons. Sam
  2. Those are very nice blinds, I like how you make them. What kind of money in materials do you have in these blinds? Also your platform looks very well done. I used to hunt in ladder stands, or sneak down the slough in my tall rubber boots, but today I have box blinds all over the place.
  3. I have not been in touch with American Crossbow Federation, I believe Bill Hilts has contacted them. I have been in contact with North American Crossbow Federation and there are helping with statistics and information around the crossbow issues in other states. Watch this video, bows and arrows are not capable of this. NY got it right by putting it in the gun season.
  4. We'll be setting the trail camera’s in July to start capturing photos of the great bucks of 2012, but for now there are a lot of food plots that need taken care of and planted before mid July. i would go hunt it if the aerial photos of the farm you would hunt look good. I would go in November and hunt funnels and pinch points. the hunting pressure is very high there and the deer should be on the move with the pressure and the rut, you could kill a fatty. Sam
  5. Hi thank you for your welcome, I appreciate. Nice meeting you.
  6. I just wanted to introduce myself to all you guys on the forum. I'm Sam a longtime lurker from the woods of new Hampshire who would like to share a bow. I was kinda leaning towards the archery and hunting and just wanted to ask your opinion on each of the bows and the 09 Z if you have shot it. I plan on primarily using it for deer hunting and spots. I'm interested in anything hunting/bow hunting/archery/outdoors and hopefully glean some info from the more experienced. Thanks and regards Sam
