For NY on public land this is a bruiser. This isn't the Midwest...unfortunately. whatever he scores hes a trophy in anyones book. Im blessed just to have pictures of him and know hes around somewhere
i definately disagree with the 21 inch spread...i shot one 2 years ago with a 21 inch spread. this one is 23 easy. everything else is pretty much right on though.
i took it off the SD card, loaded it to my laptop, sent it to my email, uploaded it on my cell phone. lol iphones for ya. I agree with splitG2, i think were looking at mid to high 150's GROSS.
Earlier this month i posted a pic of a extremely wide buck. Everyone was asking to see him nearly full grown....i finally got him and he did not disappoint ! .
biggest thing there is patterning the deer. a lot of people think u can only kill big ones on the bottom, not true. hunt on cloudy crappy days it throws off their patterns going to and from the fields on top east and west side. i have a friend who shot a 156 3/8 only 70 yards from the road not during the rut.
15,000 acres. i beleive about 12,000 is huntable. nearly the entire east side is huntable with the exception of the dam overlook. west side is much smaller
haha well ill fess up and say these were all taken from letchworth. ive seen studs taken out of there. yet there are soem days where i see zero. very inconsistant, but when it is hot, its hot.
8m, livingston county i believe? could be wrong on the county. Ive hunted there all my life and have seen some giant bucks. but i see no correlation or pattern with the AR. this past season a friend of mine shot one of the biggest bucks to be taken out of the park
Well, agreed. hopefully i can locate that other picture and post, its extremely impressive. Ive hunted this particular buck for two years, not even a sighting.
That wide buck the pic was taken back in June, he still had two months at least of growing. we got another pic of him out of velvet, which i cant find for some reason? absolute giant. looks like an elk
Those of you who are like me and are die hard hunters yet dont have the property to satisfy your needs, here are some pics over the past few years of some serious NY giants.
