Ive done this method a few times hunting the river bottom in letchworth. As opposed to dragging the deer out alone and taking 5 hours to do it exerting all that energy, i do this instead. Making two trips to the truck with the meat from the kill site is worth it as opposed to dragging it up a gorge alone. Get yourself a nice backpack lol

It's all preference. Some like this brand some like that brand. Shoot them all and decide yourself don't base it off of others ideas.

It's kind of like a click I suppose. yea that's what I figured it would be is the string settling on the wheel. What concerns me is it never used to do it. I take it to a shop and see what they tell me

Wall hanger same as u would in the tree. I've started to lay it in my case since the knocking started

This is weird... I shoot a heli-m and whenever I draw my bow back For THE FIRST TIME there is a knock on my idler wheel. It only happens the first time I draw back when I start practicing. I have no idea why? Any ideas?

I was down there today and saw a lot of sign. crazy amount of land

Seems to be a common theme with more and more places unfortunately

The area I hunted was beautiful. It was late gun season lots of snow . Did you hunt state land?
-
I was lucky enough to win a three might stay in a resort in the Poconos starting tomorrow. Of course I plan on using my stay to scout for deer season. I've hunted PA before in some state land in Carbondale. I've planned a hunt in the same spot for a week in early October. Those of you who have hunted that part of PA, any other pieces of property I should look into? I saw a bunch of does and two solid bucks last time I went.

Yes, very much so my friend

The length of new Yorks gun season is a huge factor. Many Midwest states firearms season is roughly a week or two weekends.

Cool thanks fellas

So let week I bought a trophy ridge drive single pin adjustable sight. Unlike hha's optimizer, you have to mark your own yardage. I love the sight I've never shot better. What do you guys recommend for making the markings?

^ ^ Solid answer lol

I agree tenfold with Biz

Lol silly talk is right my friend. What part of Ohio have you hunted
-
I understand theres more to it than just the tags and license. Money is a low concern for me. On the flipside, i would not pay to an outfitter X amount of dollars to pick out a deer for me, put me in this exact tree and you will kill him at this time. I like to do the leg work myself which is why open public land is ideal. ive killed decent deer in Maryland on public land, but its Maryland lol. Time to expand westward. Iowa/Kansas/Illinois are top contenders on my list as well. My uncle has a farm just outside of pike county and i have yet to go down there.

haha maybe lame wasn't the right word Every trip i plan out i save on to the computer with maps, lodging etc etc... Its just the lack of people to go with. Although i would go alone, i would much rather share the experience with someone else. one of these days i will go lol

Shot one at my buddies shop yesterday actually, solid bow. A lot of guys swear on PSE, great customer service. I shoot a Heli-m but was greatly considering PSE.

So i keep trying to hit some public land in Nebraska at the beginning of October but all my friends come up with the same excuse..." I'm broke"! For 209 bucks you get a buck and doe tag and theres 1.4 million acres of public land on the Platte River. Anyone else have lame friends that are buzzkills when it comes to stuff like this lol

i agree completely with nybuckboy

i recently bought a trophy ridge drive single pin adjustable sight. One pin, no adjustments to 30 yards, pull a bit higher for 30-40. then i have a makring for 50 and 60 ( i would never shoot that far but figured why not). If you have a fast modern bow, adjustable is the way to go in my eyes. They are crap if your bow is older though.
