Very good initiative by the DEC. it not only would encourage the youth hunters but would also encourage the parents to take their next generation to hunting. very well done young hunters!!! -
Hi Guys, I am a new hunter, and this is my first season. I skipped the bow hunting as I didn't have enough practice, and didn't want to risk it. Looking forward for the Gun Season on Suffolk. Any suggestion on where to shoot. I know there is Otis Pike Preserve and Rocky Point but never been those places and don't have much idea about how to hunt. If get a companion that would be a great help. Let me know your suggestion, and how can I join someone and an apprentice.

hey, i was doing some research before buying this Mossberg 500 dual barrel shotgun. I believe its a great value for money. I didn't buy it yet, but feeling positive about it.

Hey, this is a great idea. The new hunters don't have that much idea and don't know where to go. I was thinking to go to Otis Pike Preserve on exit 69 on LIE. However, i don't know the exact location. This is my first year of hunting, and would highly appreciate a group where we can hunt together. As there is lots of challenge in the woods.
