  1. I've heard of them but never seen one. That is one wierd looking bird. Probably still tasted great though.
  2. Wow that's a nice bird! Great success this season.
  3. Guys, I apologize for all the trouble this thread started. I am not from NY, been there and love it, but am from WA state where coyote hunting is year round. I didn't even think about it not being year round everywhere. I was just sharing a strange incident (to me) as coyotes around here are rarely seen so close to a house. Yes, I am impressed with a load of pellets with enough oomph to kill a mid sized dog. I do not condone breaking game laws and apologize again for the controversy. I really like this forum and enjoy reading your comments. I will try in the future to remember that this is a site intended or mainly used by the great people of NY.
  4. I was looking out my window yesterday and saw a coyote about 45 yards away sitting on his haunches, looking toward my house. I have 2 house cats and am always worried that the coyotes will get them. Anyway, I grabbed my shotgun and loaded 3 inch T shot HEVIShot Dead Coyote rounds into it. I am using a HEVIShot Dead Coyote choke tube. I snuck out my door and around the house, leveled the shotgun and let him have it. He hit the ground, twitched for about 10 seconds and died right there. That's one down and a bunch to go!
  5. Those are goose tracks. You can see the web.
  6. I use the old jake and hen. The Toms go crazy!
  7. I have used HEVIShot Hevi-13 for quite a while. I have had some really good results with it, I shoot #6 shot in a 12 gauge. Last fall I tried Magnum Blend and stuffed a bird at 50+ yards, a one shot clean kill. I'm stuck on HEVIShot, it hasn't let me down. What do you use and have you had good results?
