  1. I'm so disgusted. That buck is beautiful. Not super wide. Just outside the wars and it raps around. Super tall with long tines. Young. 2.5 to 3 yrs max. I'm saying conservatively 110-115
  2. Yeah he bounded 3 times back into the swamp then trotted away
  3. And I blew it. Decided to move to a tree closer to where the buck and doe came through this morning. Found a decent tree. Had to cut some branches on the way up. Making quite a bit of racket with my saw. Get to the top. Haul everything up. It's about 1:30 to 1:45. I don't like the spot. I have zero lanes. The deer has to walk with 10-15 yards to get a shot. Oh well. I'll stick it out. Not 10 mins later here comes my buck out of the swamp. Heading right for me but to my right slighty. He is going to come with 10 yards broadside chipshot. 4 steps till the opening he is behind a tree. I quickly spin so I can take a shot. Right handed to the right side. He starts to come out. As I'm about to draw my pack that us bungeed to my stand comes lose crashing to the ground. Buck takes off into the swamp. Seriously wanted to throw my bow.
  4. Lol hate state land. Another guy set up 150 yards from me on the same scrape line. Some how he didn't see a buck and I didn't volunteer the info
  5. Decisions decisions. Friday night I'm supposed to be heading for my camp for 10 days. 1300 acre lease. Now I'm second guessing myself
  6. From trail cam pics. 9 pts. Tail and wide. This would be far the biggest buck I've ever taken
  7. Another doe comes through. Catches my scent. Quickens her pace and did not stop in my lane. Buck comes through just after her but goes a different route no shot
  8. Never heard that buck coming. He is 200 lbs all day long.
  9. Now a doe just came in from where the buck was grunting. Looked like it was angling in for a shot. Went to some thick stuff. lost her somewhere. Dropped my rattle bag lol
  10. Damn. My #1 buck came in but out of range headed in the wrong direction. Huge body. Tried grunting him back no luck. Then I heard grunts at the scrape line 80 yards behind me. Grunted back but it never came in. Rattled but nothing. Very exciting but annoying
  11. Unfortunately if he wins safe act 2 will be slammed through days later. It may force me out of this state
  12. I'd love to vote that scumbag out but nyc will screw us with their sheep mentality.
  13. I should have brought a pellet gun. Could have bagged 10 squirrels by now
  14. Your sitting in the wrong spot. Where you at. I'll come over and help. I haven't seen a deer in the woods in almost 3 weeks. I'm covered up in squirrel
  15. And a pack of yotes just sounded off 100 yards from me. Should have stayed on bed
  16. Some people need to learn how to hunt. I set up just off a field in the morning and take the long way around to keep from kicking them out of a field. Doesn't some moron troop right through the middle of it and start heading right for me. I flashed him to get him to turn around. You hunt the travel corridor in the morning because they are in the field. You hunt the fields at night!!!! Morning hunt blown. Probably some xbow noob [emoji12]
  17. Man its warm out. And super quiet. Loud walk in. Nothing sneaking in this woods today.
  18. Yeah its about making them feel safer. Not about attracting them.
  19. I think they grind it up bedding material and all. I read how this all came about. A farm hand on a deer farm. Mucked the stalls. Was running late for a night hunt and left his coveralls on. Had more deer down wind then ever before. Laying down wind and all. Voila. New product was born.
  20. I don't go in the woods without it
  21. Well kicked one up walking in. Walking out I checked the rub line I found earlier. The # of rubs have doubled. Within 40 yards there are about 14 different rubs and finally one half hearted scrape. Saw zip in the stand. Gotta work tonight but have tomorrow off and I'm gonna hit it hard. Good deed of the day. I get to my truck and there is an older gentleman with the most beautiful bird dog. He is all decked out to pheasant hunt. Very nice chatting with me then he starts heading to the field. He gets about 30 yards in. I'm like that's odd....he looks like he is going hunting but he has no gun. Then I look and it's leaning against his truck. I call him back to get his gun. Glad it was me. Some low life might have jacked his gun
