  1. 38 pounds! Holy crap! I thought the 7 pound Walleye I caught last night was big!
  2. Do yourself a favor and just order some strings from Brad at 60x. His strings are top notch! 60xcustomstrings.com
  3. MR7.....32 inch draw Monster7 goes to 31 Depends on which one you have. I would also think the MR7 mods would fit in the Monster7 so it could go to 32.
  4. Believe me, thoughts like that did cross my mind. This was one time where letting the law handle it actually worked out!
  5. Monster 7 goes up to a 32 inch draw.
  6. Google! Its a great thing! Basically they cook without having flare ups and they get extemely hot which sears the food and keeps the juice in.
  7. I just googled it. From my calculations, most of these does were bred the first week of November.
  8. Alot of Fawns popping up the past week! If anyone knows the gestation period of deer, you could backtrack and figure out when the most breeding was done last fall.
  9. I hear ya. My arrow is 462 grains! I think it would be very hard to get down to the 315 grain arrow I would need to shoot to be IBO, especially shooting a 29 1/4 inch arrow!
  10. Has anyone tried the new infrared grills? I was thinking of giving one a try.
  11. Nice. I made this one out of 2x12's and stuffed it full of old clothes. The target faces are from Third Hand Archery.
  12. If anyone notices the difference of 3 FPS they should be working for the Police as a radar gun. What you will notice with the WB is the noise, especially on those cold, calm, quiet mornings. A buddy of mine had a deer bust him because of the noise the rest made when he drew back on a deer. Needless to say, he changed rests. Just something else to think about.
  13. I've been seeing a ton of Hens all by theirselves lately. Dont know where the Toms have disappeared to!
  14. Knowing they caught the scumbag was reward enough for me!
  15. I was looking through the ads on Craigslist last week when I came upon an add from someone looking for wild Turkey eggs. The add stated that this person would give you money and come out and remove the eggs from the wild Turkey nest. While sitting there thinking of what kind of Tool would actually do this I remembered the DEC's TIPP hotline. I went on the website and e mailed them the listing, not really thinking they would do much about it. Imagine my surprise when I got this e mail back from them today: Mr. Phillips, Thank you for your complaint information ref. the subject attempting to purchase turkey eggs via Craigslist. The add has been removed and the subject was also found to be in possession of illegally possessed wild turkeys. Thanks again, ECO P.S. 16. I call BS. Coyotes dont harm the deer population, at least thats what the DEC tries to tell us! Shows what they know!
  17. Trophy ridge make the Alpha 1. Its one fixed vertical pin.
  18. HHA or Trophy Ridge are both good sights. As for a rest, the Limbdriver you have is a good one. I would also recommend a Trophy Taker Smackdown, Rip Cord or the QAD Ultra HDX. Cant go wrong with any of them, just pick what you like best!
  19. A friend of mine stumbled upon this fawn last thursday while Turkey hunting
  20. I'm thinking about getting one myself, not that I need another shotgun! I used my brothers one day when we were Turkey hunting to shoot a nice Tom. When we went to where the bird dropped in the field we looked back at the blind and said "That looks like a pretty far shot". My brother went back to the blind to get his rangefinder and ranged it off at 63 yards! My other shotguns would be lucky to hold a good pattern at 40 yards. I might buy one just for Turkey hunting that way I can leave my scope on my other shotgun for deer hunting!
  21. Check out the NAP Killzone. http://www.newarchery.com/products/mechanical/killzone-1/ They're like a Rage but without the O-rings. They wont open in flight or in your quiver. I shot a Coyote with one this fall and blew through both shoulder blades and dropped it in its tracks.
  22. We used to see flocks of 30-40 birds at a time bowhunting in the fall. They were everywhere. You'd see some just about every time you were in the woods. Over the last 10 years the sightings have been slowly decreasing. This past fall not one turkey was spotted all deer season between 3 hunters! I've been turkey hunting elsewhere this spring.
  23. He was definately a subordinate bird. My buddy was on a field edge and was calling to a big Tom that was strutting for a hen about 75 yards away when he looked to his left this bird was just standing there looking at him 20 yards away! He never made a sound!
  24. I guess its more common than I thought!
