  1. I guess my first stop will be agway to see what they carry. Can seed be spread by hand, or should it be planted?
  2. We have been building our new house all winter, and its going to be time to do the lanscaping soon...if it ever stops raining!! The house is in a wooded lot, with about 2 acres cleared. Im not looking to have a lawn like a golf course, but I want to get something growing asap. The seed I see forsale, like Scotts, is way too expensive. I could just get a hay chopper and go that route, but I think that does not work very well. Any suggestions?
  3. I have done the plow on an atv before. They are good for an inch or two, but when you get the wet heavy snow they don't work very good. I just checked prices on a blower for an ATV...around $5000!! For that price I am better off buying a large garden tractor with a blower
  4. Im building a new house that will be done around Feb that has a 500 foot long driveway in a wooded lot. I dont want to put a plow on my truck, and its too much for a walk behind blower. Any ideas...maybe one of those blowers that are pushed by a atv?
  5. I bought a new pair of Lacrosse Burlys and I can smell them from the other side of my garage...whats the trick to getting rid of the smell? Thanks
  6. Cabin fever, You dont want to use that type of quiver with the foam insert. I forgot the brand name of mine, but it made for expandablebroadheads. Unfortunately mine is like that with the foam, but what I did was just slice out a little bit with a utility knife, and now it fits perfect in there.
  7. Thanks for the offer but your about 3hrs west of me. Im building in the town of Little Falls. Do you have any experience with the geotextile fabric?
  8. I was going to bulldoze a trench, then fill it in with the gravel. But I guess thats a bad idea. Of all the reading I have done on the subject, that small, but key feature was never mentioned.
  9. Hey builtright What kind of scope and mount do you have on that raging bull. I have the same gun in a 44mag with open sights. Im looking to put a scope on it.
  10. I will be building a new house with a 500 foot driveway. I bought the geotextile material to put under the gravel...but im not sure how deep to go down with the gravel. I have read online anywhere from 12" to 2". The driveway is in a wooded area that has some wet spots, so im thinking to go atleast 6inches deep. Any help?
  11. So your sayin I can use my DMP tag during bow season? That means I could take 3 doe or 1 buck and 2 does during the bow season? Is this on the DEC website anywhere...I need to read it before I do it.
  12. I was wondering if you could legally do this....so far I have found nothing to say you cant. This would be great so I could take a doe early in bow season, and still be able to hunt for that big buck.
  13. I know how it works hunting rabbits, coons and game birds with dogs. But how does it work with hunting coyotes. Is it kind of like doing a deer drive?
  14. HAHA Thats right I forgot about old Johnny. So can apple seeds be spread naturally and grow new trees, since they are not native? I have found them in some strange locations, so I would think so.
  15. Well I was asking about apples in general. By the way...what apples are native to NY.
  16. I have heard that the apple crop is ahead of time this year because of the warm spring. I have noticed them already falling from the trees. Do you think this will change anything during the season?
  17. I carry my Taurus Raging Bull 44 mag when I am deer hunting. I have not takin a deer with it yet...still waiting for that perfect moment. I would like to put a scope on it someday.
