I like my marlin .336 JM...it shoots great out to 150yds,I like the feel of a old lever...I long shot for were I hunt is less than 100yds and that 200gr bullet hits hard

My Remington .270 is my go to gun..but having a lot of fun with my .35 marlin topped with a 1x4 leupold with the new hornady ammo it has become a tack driver.most of my shots are inside of 150yds I think the .35 will get the job done.

I hunt with a .270 and all I use is factory ammo at 75-150yd don't have to worry about a flat shooting gun,as for ammo my cheap federal power-shok ammo at 18.99 a box 130gr soft point shoots as good as some of the premium ammo and drops the deer no problem. sometimes I think at that range a .35 or 3030 would do the job.

I use powder you all my loads are in a plastic loader take no more time than pellets and you can also shoot what ever load you want were with pellets your limited >>>---> ED

Marlin 444 lever or my rem model 700 mountain rifle .270

I hunted it many times I grew up there not as good as you would think.You can hunt the other side with a sterling forest permit

Were I hunt shots are under 100yds and the .35 and .30.30 shine I have a .444 set up this year with a 2.5x4 low power scope can`t wait.

Picked up a 444 marlin shot nice groups at 75yrds with open sites will try out this year most of my shots are under 100yds.

I leave my gun loaded all season unless I shoot deer and never had a problem,
