i have three trail cameras out how long shoud i wait between checking them ? and what should be my cut off date for not going out there at all ?

its very hard corn thats all i know and has a kind of reddish color

im huntinging a corn field last year it was soy just wondder when it should be cut so i can do some glassing

could any of you tell me if this is a mature buck ive got picture of a small 4 pointer and a spike all together is the same spot and another of an 8 on the other side of the corn feild how do i know who the dominate one is ?

what is a good licking branch for a mock scrape how high should it be and what kind or scent should i apply to it and the mock scrape???

im going to guess southern i live 45 min south of albany

i dont know what that guys problem is but i appreciate your post its been hard hunting for me and ill take all the tips and tricks i can get. i have one buck on camera could u tell me if u think hes a shooter or not??

all i know is where ever i hunt im gonna hunt it hard lol it might be long days seeing nothing or i might see all the deer i could ever want my first buck is going down this year lol i just really want to get mature deer it would add a lot to me knowing i took a deer that was smart

its about 5 acres all corn field im hunting on the ground i have a blind set up thick pines to the right of the corn field is where they bed down to my left small patch of thick woods i know they ttravel in at night i had a young 6 last year i passed up just wondering aROUND A MATURE 8 CAME OUT DURING DAY LIGHT ON THE MOVE DIDNT FEEL COMFORTABLE TAKING THE SHOT BECAUSE there was a house behind him and my dad taught my to be an ethical hunter and u cant take the bullet back ya know he was mature really long rack been beting myself up since hence why im so eager this year

maybe its becuase im the young buck here but face paint always makes me feel like a badass in the woods lol

hunting is the only time i can sit still not moving from 5 am to 430 pm and enjoy every second of it

well i checked the camera today no migrant workers on it this time they also havint messed with my camera or stole it so im thankful for that im going back out soon thinking about seting up a scrape with a drip bag where do i set it up though ??

i did let the DEC know annomously because im worried about being kicked off the land i can show u the pictures of the poachers id approach the farmer but i doubt he cares do have a question though if he has nuesance permitts would they be allowed to hunt out of season and at night ?????

i did inform the dec but my trail cam only showed them with a gun at 1:00am with a spot light they said untill they kill one on my cam they cant do anything

i hunt a corn field it was soy bean last year theres a apple orchard right next to it but the manager put up high fence so the deer cant get in it on the other side is thick pines but the land it posted and thats where the deer come out of so some how i need to get them out of thereduring day light all last season i watched them on the eadge of the pines waitig for dark the field has no cover or id try to set up on them in another area i know this is long but there a ravein on the other side of the orchard i can hunt to its thick but the migrant workers in the orchard poach deer in there im thinking lol i wish i had money to buy some land

very healthy doe population bucks i have a feeling dont have a chance to mature people around here shoot spikes and first year deer

so is rattling adn snort weeze and option the or will it only scare away the bucks in the area ?

i hunt in columbia county farmers around here dont let anoyone hunt on there land so deer are very pressured on state land but i got one buck on cam so far this year is it too early to set up a mock scrape ?

i been hunting since i was 16 im now 23 i set up trail cams i scout im always as scent free as possable and i have yet to harvest a buck i get a doe about every year lol but id like some horns anyone got tips or ideas about would i should do ???? i had a buck come out last year it was a really nice 8 but i didnt take the shot due to i would have had to shoot up rather then down at it and theres a hour atop a ridge behind him i been beating mysef up about it ever since lol
