Hey, this is the first season that I plan to take a bear. Reading all these threads gave me some more questions. I read on one thread, a taxidermist told a guy his bear would gain up to 75lbs in the next month or so. I want to know, what are the reasons not to wait until they have more meat on them? Maybe some guys want to get the bear before someone else does or they don't really need the meat? I'm curious how the meat taste would change through the season. I'm really interested in the meat. If the taste don't agree with me, at least my dog will eat like a king. That's why I think I'd rather take a bear as late in the season as I could. Thanks for your advice guys.

Lol. That guy is tough as nails but I'd definitely take a spill on the trail riding like that. YOu guys will hear from me in a month, one way or the other.

The trail is fairly smooth. Being state land, I can't leave a bike where I please.

That's what I'm talking about Philoshop. That's gonna be me in that picture come October. I started getting back into shape after reading about how fitness helps your hunting. Those guys out West and in Alaska do some wild hunting trips.

I'm thinking it would go like this but I'm always open to suggestions. - Make sure it's dead - Tag it - Ride the bike out, lock it in the bed and the bow/gun in the truck. - Jog back - Haul the deer out It would be a pain when I get something but great for all the times I don't.

I'm gonna be hunting on state land this year. Bikes are legal on the trails. I want to try biking a mile from my truck and then walking off trail to a few hunting spots. Is this crazy or stupid? I don't think it's illegal. It would be helpful to save some time on the days where I want to sneak out before or after work. Thanks guys.

Hi, When I purchase my DMP, can I apply in different WMUs, like say 1A and 3C? Or do I have to apply for 2 in 1A and hope that I can find someone to trade in 3C? Thanks

Hey, I'm visiting the LP area Wednesday through Sunday, 1/29-2/2. I'm bringing my dog but my Friday and Saturday hotel doesn't allow pets. I'm looking to put him up somewhere for Friday and Saturday - I plan to hike with him Friday and Saturday so he will be good and tired. I would prefer a house with/without dogs to a kennel or animal hospital. Does anyone on here know of someone good with animals that would be willing to watch him in exchange for money? Fixed 50lb male, super well behaved, super house-broken, good with dogs big and small, etc. Thanks, Ryan
